Welcome to Cynical Ceramics Co., we specialize in creating contemporary handmade ceramics for functional use. Our mission is to merge beauty and functionality in everyday objects, and we're not afraid to challenge traditional ceramic design conventions to achieve that.

Our pieces are unique, modern, and infused with a touch of cynicism that sets us apart from the rest. We believe that our customers deserve functional pieces that are also visually striking and bring a bit of attitude to their daily routine.

Cynical Ceramics Co. was founded by Scott Pierce, who has been working with clay on and off for the past 20 years. Scott's passion for ceramics became more serious during the pandemic.  Following the pandemic, he decided to leave his 15-year corporate leadership career and pursue his art full-time.

Our commitment to sustainability is a core value that guides our production processes. We carefully source our materials to minimize waste and reduce our environmental impact, and our production processes are designed to be as eco-friendly as possible. We believe that by creating products that are sustainable and long-lasting, we can make a positive impact on the world through our work.

THE CLAY WAREHOUSE

The Clay Warehouse is your go-to destination for all your ceramic supply needs. Our studio and retail space offers a collaborative environment where artists can hone their craft, learn new techniques, and build their businesses with the support of our community.

Founded by Scott Pierce and Courtney Brewer, two passionate ceramicists who share a deep love for the arts, The Clay Warehouse has become a local favourite and a nationally recognized source for all things ceramic. Our 2000 sq ft. studio space is fully equipped with 15 potter's wheels, two kilns, and large worktables for hand-building, making it the perfect place for artists to let their creativity run wild.

At The Clay Warehouse, we take pride in fostering a thriving community of artists. Our studio hosts workshops for the public seven days a week, offering memberships and open studio drop-ins. Collaboration and community are essential to the creative process, and we strive to provide an inclusive and supportive environment for all artists.
